This Mixed Berry Iced Tea is the perfect blend of fruity, tangy, and refreshing. With no refined sugar and only whole food ingredients, it’s the ultimate WFPB summer drink!

If summer had a flavor, this iced tea might just be it.
The first time I tried iced tea was when I moved to the USA, and ever since, I can’t get enough of it during warm weather. It became one of my favorite refreshing drinks, especially when made with real ingredients and no refined sugar.
This Mixed Berry Iced Tea is fruity, fresh, and so easy to make that it almost feels like cheating. The berries add a bold burst of flavor and color, the lemon brightens everything up, and the dates give it just enough sweetness without turning it into a sugar bomb.
It’s the kind of drink you’ll want to make a big batch of and keep in your fridge all season long.
I created this recipe because I wanted a flavorful, guilt-free iced tea that my whole family could enjoy, with no unusual ingredients or excessive sugar. It’s made from things you likely already have in your fridge or freezer.
Grab your blender and a couple of tea bags, and let’s do this!

👩🍳DIRECTIONS
To make this Berry Iced Tea, follow these steps:
Boil 2 cups of water and steep the tea bags for 10–15 minutes. Let it cool slightly.

Add strawberries, lemon juice, maple syrup, and 1 cup of water to a blender. Blend until smooth. Optional: Strain the berry mixture through a sieve or nut milk bag for a smooth result.

In a pitcher, mix the tea and berry blend. Add 2 cups of cold water or ice. Add maple syrup (optional). Stir well.

Chill for 1–2 hours or serve immediately over ice. Garnish with mint and extra berries if desired.

💡RECIPE TIPS & VARIATIONS
Use Frozen Berries – Frozen berries work just as well and will help chill the tea faster.
Make It Sparkling – Add sparkling water instead of cold still water right before serving.
No Dates? – Try a splash of 100% fruit juice, such as apple or grape, instead for natural sweetness.
Want a Stronger Tea Flavor? – Swap hibiscus or berry tea for 1–2 bags of black tea (or mix them) for a bolder, more classic iced tea base. Steep for 5–7 minutes and add a pinch of baking soda if desired to mellow bitterness.
Storage Tip: Keep refrigerated for up to 2 days. Shake or stir before pouring, as natural settling is totally normal.
❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
Can I make this ahead of time?

Keep in a sealed pitcher or jar in the fridge. Stir before serving, especially if you didn’t strain the berry purée.
Can I use other fruit?
Absolutely! Try peaches, cherries, or mangoes for a different vibe.
