Who am I?

Hello, my name is María Echaniz. I was born in Argentina but currently live in the US. English is my second language, and Spanish is my first.

I’m a mom that loves cooking simple, Whole, Food Plant-Based meals for my family and sharing those easy recipes with you! I’m also a wife to a fantastic husband, a Software Engineer, a self-taught Photographer, Blogger, Videographer, and now a Chef. 😄 I love learning new things! And in January 2022, I obtained my certification in Plant-Based Cooking after completing the Fork over Knives Ultimate Cooking Course.

Why Vegan?

I started my vegan journey in steps in 2017 after watching some great documentaries (The one that changed everything was Mission Blue. Thanks, Sylvia Earle!).

But I was vegan in my heart my entire life (I remember crying after eating animals); it just took me a while to try this way of living. But I’m so happy I finally did it! It’s never too late.

I love my family, animals, the planet, and my life; for that reason, I try to eat as healthily as possible without harming others. It’s not about perfection; it’s about less impact, less harm, and more kindness.

So, what type of recipes can I find in Simple Veganizer?

Whole Food Plant-based recipes 100%. No animal products and Wholesome ingredients.

EASY VEGAN VEGGIE MUFFINS

The first part of my journey was all about veganizing recipes, using many vegan processed food. However, I discovered the Whole-food, Plant-based diet (WFPB) two years ago, that it’s basically eating minimally processed foods, and it was a game-changer for me.

And now, I want to share what I’m learning with everyone! That is the reason why I first created my YouTube channel: Simple Veganizer. And later, this blog.

I also like to veganize traditional family recipes that I used to eat. So you will find Argentine as well Latin American-inspired recipes. But I don’t stop there, since I am a foodie, I love trying meals from different countries and cultures. I find inspiration everywhere!
