Looking for an alternative of store-bought vegan mayo full oils and ingredients you don’t know? Well, you’ll love this Healthy, Oil-Free, quick, and easy recipe!
I’m always in the process of veganizing recipes and meals and creating healthy alternatives to commercial vegan products. Although they taste delicious and are easy to find in the grocery stores, they are often full of super processed and artificial ingredients. This was the case with my challenge to create this mayonnaise.
I’ve been trying different ingredients and combinations to have a great homemade version of one of my favorite store-bought vegan mayo. And finally, I’m so happy with this recipe, and I’m using it in all my meals, calling for mayo. It tastes fantastic and has the right consistency.
You’ll only need a few ingredients, and with this base recipe and adding herbs and spices, you can create your own dressings for different types of meals.

RECIPE AND INSTRUCTIONS
VEGAN MAYO, QUICK AND EASY RECIPE
Equipment
- Bullet blender
Ingredients
- 12 oz silken Tofu (Firm) (340 g)
- 1 tsp coconut aminos
- 3 tbsp lemon juice fresh
- 1 tsp yellow mustard Dijon is also good
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 Medjool date pitted
- 1/8 tsp black salt optional for adding egg flavor but highly recommended
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. I prefer a bullet blender for this type of dressings, especially when I include dates as natural sweeteners.
- Blend until smooth, and taste it in case you need to adjust the flavor.
- If you are not using it immediately, transfer the mayo to a jar or some airtight container.
- Refrigerate the mayo. You can store it in the fridge for about a week.
- Enjoy it with your favorite recipes calling for mayo: sandwiches, salads, and more.
