Equipment

  • Blender
  • Citrus Juicer
  • Fine Mesh Strainer
  • Pitcher

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries (hulled or frozen, thawed first)
  • ¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ¼ cup maple syrup (or to taste)
  • fresh mint leaves (Optional. Or lemon, strawberry slices, or ice cubes)

Instructions

  • Blend the Base: Combine strawberries, lemon juice, maple syrup, and 1 cup of water in a blender. Blend until smooth and vibrant pink.
  • Strain (Optional): Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher for a smoother texture. If you don’t mind pulp, feel free to skip this step.
  • Add More Water: Stir in the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
  • Chill or Serve Immediately: For the best flavor, chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes. You can also pour it over ice and enjoy it right away.
  • Garnish and Sip: Add mint leaves or lemon slices for a bit of flair. Serve and savor every sip!

Notes

  • Lemon Juice Tip: Freshly squeezed lemons give the brightest, most authentic flavor. Avoid bottled juice if you can!
  • Maple Syrup Swaps: You can use date syrup or blended soaked dates as a sweetener if preferred.
  • Storage: Store in the fridge for up to 3 days in a sealed container. Stir before serving.
  • Fun Idea: Pour leftovers into popsicle molds for healthy summer treats!
