- 12-15 fresh mint leaves
- 1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1-1.5 tsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 3/4 cup sparkling water
- 3/4 cup coconut water (optional for added flavor or replace with more sparkling water)
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Tap the Mint: Take the fresh mint leaves and gently tap or slap them between your palms. This will release the essential oils without bruising or tearing the leaves.
Add the Mint to the Glass: Place the tapped mint leaves in the bottom of a 12-oz glass.
Add Lime Juice, liquids, sweetener, and ice: Pour lime juice over the mint leaves, sparkling water and coconut water (if using), maple syrup, ice, and stir.
Garnish: To garnish the glass, add a fewslices of lime and a sprig of mint.
