Ingredients
  

  • 4 bananas (large ripe, peeled, sliced, and frozen)
  • 2 cups cherries (frozen, pitted)
  • 2 Tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup (optional, based on sweetness preference)
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (unsweetened or any plant-based milk)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (dairy-free, sugar-free)
  • 1/4 cup nuts (chopped, e.g., walnuts or almonds)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Base: Place the frozen banana slices and cherries into a food processor or high-speed blender.
  • Blend the Nice Cream: Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and almond milk. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. You may need to stop occasionally to scrape down the sides and ensure everything is well blended.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mixture and add maple syrup to reach your desired sweetness level if needed. Blend again to incorporate.
  • Add Texture (Optional): If you want a bit of texture, fold in the dark chocolate chips, cherries, and/or chopped nuts after blending.
  • Serve: Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency. Alternatively, you can transfer the nice cream to a container and freeze it for 1-2 hours if you prefer a firmer texture.
  • Enjoy: Scoop the nice cream into bowls and enjoy your creamy, chocolatey, cherry-flavored treat!

Notes

  • Freezing Tips: Make sure the bananas and cherries are fully frozen before blending for the best texture. You can also freeze ripe bananas ahead of time to always have them ready.
  • Blending: If your food processor or blender struggles with frozen fruit, let the bananas and cherries thaw for a few minutes before blending, or add a splash of more plant-based milk.
  • Storage: You can keep the Chocolate Cherry Nice Cream in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. Let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes for the best texture before scooping and serving.
